An ingenious position memory device, controlled by computer, keeps the unit from extending beneath vehicles as they pass. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The #1435 Mini-Parallelogram is designed as a mounting platform for the #1431, #1432, and #1436 Side Applicators. The Mini-Parallelogram maintains accurate proximity to every vehicle regardless of its shape or size. A unique feature of the #1435 Mini-Parallelogram is that it is only 79 inches long and yet does not fall in between the front and back tires of the vehicle. This is accomplished by an air control valve which is controlled by the computer. The air control valve locks the Mini-Parallelogram in place after the vehicle's front tire has pushed it into the retracted position. Then the computer activates the air control valve and the Mini-Parallelogram extends again, ready for the next vehicle.
